A Look Into 3D Movie Trailers

3D movies are films made using the technique of stereoscopic imaging, which creates the illusion of depth to the viewer by presenting two slightly different images to both eyes. They are mostly advertised through the use of movie trailers.

The first part lays out the premise of the story. The second part involves the rising action and climax. The last part usually involves signature music, and includes the emotional parts of the film. If the cast of the film can help boost up the advertisement, a cast run is shown towards the end of the trailer.  

Voice-over

Voice-over narration usually helps in making the audience understand the plot better. It provides the necessary explanation when the scenes in the film alone can’t do that. Do you hear that low, almost creepy, male voice at the start of a trailer? That’s the voice-over.

Music

Music helps set the mood of the trailer. In the last part of the trailer, when the most emotional and powerful scenes in the film are shown, music plays an important role. The music used in a trailer is carefully chosen, it can be popular or well known songs or it can be specially composed for the film.

Information on the cast, crew and studio

If the cast and crew are well-known personalities, this can help boost up the film’s advertisement. Towards the end of a trailer, a cast and/or crew run is shown. This means that the names of the prominent cast and crew are shown. The studio logo and related information are usually shown at the start of a film trailer, although this was not always so.
